One of the last remaining good sports bars in Ottawa. Wall to Wall TVs with all the sports you wanna see, and pool tables. The nachos are pretty good, and the beer is always frosty, cold, and a good selection. Also, it's been a while, but I once hosted a large group (30 peeps) a d they accomodated us perfectly. They set us up in the back, and it was a good spot for larger groups.
Came here with my boyfriend and some friends — as always, we had a great time! Mike, the redhead, gave us exceptional service. He kept checking in, made sure we had everything we needed, and brought a lot of laughs to the table. Mike, you’re the best!
The service was top tier. Had great conversations with the staff . Mike is a bar star, taught us some sweet pool tricks. 10/10 would recommend
We were looking for a place to watch the PWHL playoff game and this was the perfect spot. So many different games at once! You could watch NHL, OHL, PWHL, MLB or NBA all at the same time! There were lots of pool tables though we just came to watch the game. A good selection of drinks and food. We had great, friendly service from Mike!
I love coming here, great atmosphere, great crowd, food is amazing. Leila, Dave and the crew are just superior, always friendly service, accurate, fast. Some options that are faves to try: beef brisket dip, wagyu smoked meet, Caesar salad!!, nachos, wings, beef stew, spinach dip, fried cauliflower, Vegan wrap was a huge hit, all the fries, sauces and breads all made in house. My favourite drink is the whisky sour - perfection, Caesars are real good too. I come here every time I’m in town and it never disappoints. Prices are great. Also pool - lots of pool tables.
All the food we had here was surprisingly delicious! Usually we have had a bad experience at other pubs with their food quality (portions, flavor, etc). But here at McLaren's everything we ordered was perfect and very filling! A nice tall glass of cold beer and a table full of amazing food made us all happy patrons!
Been here twice, great spot that had become my go to for pool games, lovely vibe and all in all amazing company and staff!! Both times I've had the pleasure of experiencing Mike's lovely service. Super kind, attentive and a total sweetheart!! Bossman, if you're reading this: Mike is a total gem, treat him well!!
This place is great! Pool was a great price per table, atmosphere was fantastic, and the fries were delicious too! Plus, as a sober person, having multiple non-alcoholic beer options was amazing as well. Definitely making this my go-to pool place from now on.
